For the final project I had several ideas of my own but decided to work with Dave and Bob because they wanted to expand on their midterm concept. Their midterm consisted of a Duchamp inspired bicycle wheel mounted on a small stool which had attached to each of its spokes a clay animation. When the wheel was spun two led lights would be triggered and they would flash with each turn of the wheel to illuminate the animation – thereby creating a zoetrope effect. For the final they wanted to use the same concept but on a larger scale. They wanted to mount two bicycle wheels together – and stacked above each other the animation would run in between on several levels – so in a sense, there would be three tiers of animation in between these stacked bicycle wheels.
